- Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-B an Treaty Organization (CTBTO): This site is not to be confused with the Non-Proliferat ion Treaty (NPT). Though the two treaties are complimentary they are not the same. Put most simply, the NPT seeks to monitor the development of a state's nuclear capabilities through testing and enrichment; while the CTBT monitors a state's intent to build nuclear arms. I chose this site because it is important to know what other treaties may come into play in the stage of international relations. NPT is in the news quite often, but we don't hear of the CTBT. This website informs us of the history and intent of both treaties, this is important to consider when assessing a situation, because sometimes the letter of the law does not always account for every situation.
